When you do calculations like this, be very deliberate about what you are doing. Make sure you understand what you are asked to calculate, and what information you are given to do so.
You also need to keep straight what each number you are putting into a formula represents.
For example, in your calculation above, you didn’t do E/R, you did R2/R1. (ohms divided by ohms)
I = E/R is
Circuit Current = voltage supply/total resistance
What is the voltage supply for this circuit?
What is the total resistance in the circuit?
