You should say that the main is shunted, because it is!
Shunts aren’t called out as such – you are expected to recognize them on a schematic. Switches are not loads. So, a branch with just a switch in it may be a shunt – you just have to look at the layout of the circuits and use your knowledge from this course to recognize it.
