    L2 is the line side of the motor’s circuit, but that doesn’t come through the start switch — it comes through the timer and the thermal limiter. Let me know if you see that on the schematic.

    Can you tell what leg of the power supply the start switch is switching, and what path that leg takes to get to the motor?
