so if element is open, that means that current [answer hidden] at the element, due to the infinite resistance created from the open. but the voltage drop stays the same because voltage can continue to go through, but it doesn’t allow the current to flow, because it is open. and because the fan motor is on another branch, the current will [answer hidden] flowing through it, but the total current for L1 will [answer hidden] because there is only one branch the current can flow through. am i on the right track?
