    Hi Horacio,

    When a light bulb burns out, its filament breaks. So, it fails in an open state.

    In a circuit, what happens to the current flow when a load fails in an open state?

    As far as lights in a house – think about what happens when one of your light bulbs burns out. Are the other lights affected?
