For #7:
You are mixing up different electrical properties.
Resistance, R, is in ohms.
Voltage, E (or V) is volts.
Heat is power, P, in watts.
120v – 37 ohms = 83 watts doesn’t make sense.
Rewatch the video about the heat generated by the loose connection at the end of Unit 3. It’s a similar scenario, with two resistances in series.
The first step is to calculate the circuit current. (Remember that current will be the same throughout a series circuit, and is determined by the supply voltage and the total resistance in the circuit.)
The second step is to use that current as part of the calculation of P for the loose connection.
